Chinese embassy issues alert advising against travel to Nepal-India border area following several incidents of Chinese citizens being arrested by Indian border forces
Recently, Nepal and India have comprehensively increased patrols and inspections in the Nepal-India border area. The Chinese Embassy in Nepal has repeatedly reminded Chinese citizens traveling in Nepal to avoid going to the Nepal-India border area, but there are still individual Chinese citizens who have not heeded the advice and insisted on going, resulting in several incidents of being arrested by Indian border forces on excuse of illegal entry, the embassy said on Friday.
